I adopted my girl from CAAA just under a month ago and I couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience! I was able to foster to adopt, giving us all the ability to be sure we were the right fit. I was well informed and supported by the CAAA staff, they all were so invested in making the process smooth and joyful! I feel so incredibly thankful and lucky to have my new best friend! Highly recommend!!
This review is about three years late, but I adopted a kitten from here during COVID and the experience was great! Pets were in high demand and I thought the process was very fair and efficient. I’m forever thankful for Cape Ann Animal Aid for helping pets from other states (my fur baby was from Georgia) and giving me my very sweet Gordon.
This a great place! It’s very clean and the animals seem to be happy! They have great communication during the approval/adoption phase which is important. I didn’t find my next family member on this visit because the cat I was visiting was bonded with another (you can see how this works in person) and I could not bring myself to separate the two. I will return to adopt from this facility.
Today was my first and last time visiting. I have never met so many rude people in my life. We visited the kittens/ cats and the staff couldn't be bothered to even interact with us to busy on there phones. We asked a staff member if we could say hello to the dogs before leaving and said of course please just go down stairs and sign in again. We went down to sign in and the lady wouldn't even allow us to see the dogs and said we don't allow people to look at the cats and dogs . You can only see one species per visit !?!? Like what!?!? Another staff rmember just said it was fine.
We adopted Sloan, who is nosy Rosie.. and a few other cute nicknames... They were careful to make sure she had a forever home. She was only 13 weeks and she has been through she is almost completely potty trained.
I would highly recommend Cape Ann Animal Aid. The staff was so kind and friendly, and they really were fabulous with the animals in their care. They helped us find a kitten, and he is just the best little guy. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Not to mention a peaceful location in the cemetery. They are wonderful!
